自少熱愛設計，加上母親是一位時裝設計師，Marine Delahaye - de Quénetain 於巴黎的藝術學院畢業後開創自己的平面設計公司，曾為 Hermes、Louis Vuitton、Van Cleef and Arpels 與 Estee Lauder 等知名品牌創作書刊插畫，今次 Milk X 邀請了 Delahaye 為網站設計 Halloween 版的 Logo 及節日插圖，亦感謝 Delahaye 抽空跟 Milk X 分享她的藝術世界。

X：Did you always plan to do art or was that just a natural progression?

你是一直計劃從事藝術工作或者機緣巧合下成為了一位插畫家？

M：My mother is a fashion designer, I always saw her drawing fashion looks. So it was very natural to imagin myself as a creativ person and to make a living with my creativity.
As far as I can remember at 12 I wanted to be a designer, at 15 I knew that I would be a graphic designer. At 17 I was starting my art university. Today I really want to be an illustrator.

我的母親是一名時裝設計師，小時候總是看到她在畫時裝草圖，耳濡目染下，慢慢培養出對時裝的觸覺和豐富的創作力。記得在我12歲那年，我希望能成為一名設計師，15歲的時候我知道我將會是一名平面設計師。 17歲的我成功考入大學修讀藝術。今天，我立志成為一個插畫家。 

X：What have been your most satisfying projects to date?

你目前最滿意自己哪一份作品？

M：My most satisfying project is my work as a fashion illustrator for the French Grazia magazine. I do 2 illustrations each week for them.

我每星期為法國時裝雜誌 Grazia 製作兩幅插畫，這是我暫時最喜愛的設計項目。

X：How would you describe your style?

你會如何形容你的風格？

M：My style is colorfull, fashion oriented, positive. 

我的風格是色彩斑斕，時裝為主和正面積極的。 

X：What tools do you work with to make your illustrations?

你的畫畫工具是...

I draw on paper with mix media : acrylic, drawing, collages, color bomb, otherwise I sometimes work on my laptop with adobe illustrator. But I prefer to draw directly on paper.

我會用壓克力顏料、顏色彈、素描和拼貼的方式在紙上混合，或者我會用筆記本電腦的 Adobe Illustrator 製作。 但我比較喜歡前者。

X：What has been influencing your fashion and portrait illustrations? Any specific brands or people you would like drawing for? 

My influences are : Henri Matisse, Mr Roberts, Andy Warhol, René Gruau, Marimekko, Donal Drawbertson, Jean Philippe Delhomme, Karl Lagerfeld, Jean Cocteau, Egon Schiele...
I would love to draw for the Vogue magazine. I would also love to make a partnership with a fashion brand.

X：Do you consider your work as conceptual or decorative?

你的作品是著重概念或是美觀？

For the moment I consider my work decorative, but I would like it to evolve in a more conceptual way.

我認為我的作品裝飾性較重，但我亦希望可以在日後加入概念元素。
